Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms#

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Ameya AI, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Ameya AI", "we", "us"), which operates TruSkill ("the Service"). TruSkill is a product of Ameya AI, Inc.

You accept these Terms when you create an account and tick the box at sign-up, or when you accept an updated version in the app. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

If you live in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom or Switzerland, or in another country with mandatory consumer protection laws, nothing in these Terms limits the rights those laws give you (see §20).

2. Description of service#

TruSkill offers Mitra-guided weekly builds toward a goal AI role, with proof graded against a clear bar.

3. User accounts#

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

3.1 Account requirements

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

3.2 Account security

You are responsible for safeguarding your account and must tell us immediately at contact@ameyaai.com about any unauthorized use or security breach.

4. User content#

You keep ownership of content you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you give Ameya AI a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, store and process your content only to provide the Service to you.

4.1 No AI training

We do not use your résumé, documents, proofs, Mitra conversations or other content to train or fine-tune AI models, and our AI provider does not use them to train its models. See Privacy Policy §12.

4.2 Public proof links

Sharing a proof is your choice. When you create a sharing link, anyone who has the link can view the public proof page without signing in. That page shows your display name, the proof title, the skill and level, the bar it was checked against, the verdict, your note, your work link or file names, and the date you shared it.

It never shows your email, your private feedback, or the contents of your files. Files are listed by name only and cannot be opened or downloaded from the public page. Public proof pages ask search engines not to index them, but anyone with the link can copy or forward it. You can turn a link off at any time on /you. After that, the page no longer shows the proof.

5. Acceptable use#

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on the rights of others
• Submit false or misleading information, or work that is not your own as your own
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service

6. Intellectual property#

The Service and its original content, features and functionality are owned by Ameya AI, Inc. and are protected by international copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.

7. Termination#

7.1 Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time: go to /you and select Delete account. Deleting your account cancels your Pro subscription immediately, signs you out and blocks sign-in right away. We delete your data within 30 days, and it is removed from backups within a further 30 days (see Privacy Policy §4). Deleting your account does not automatically refund the current month. You can ask for a refund at contact@ameyaai.com (see §17.4 and §17.5).

7.2 When we may act immediately

We may suspend or close your account immediately, without prior notice, if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud or abuse, if needed to protect the security of the Service or other users, or if the law requires it.

7.3 Other closures

For any other reason, including if we stop offering the Service, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email and refund any prepaid amount for the period after closure.

7.4 Reasons and export

Where we can, we will tell you why we acted and give you a chance to save your work before your account is closed.

8. Disclaimer of warranties#

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. This section does not affect your rights under §20.

9. Limitation of liability#

To the extent permitted by law, Ameya AI, Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. This section does not affect your rights under §20.

10. Changes to terms#

We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect, unless the change is required by law or fixes a security issue, and we will ask you to accept them. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect, and you will not be charged under the new Terms.

11. AI-powered services#

The Service uses artificial intelligence to provide personalized career insights and recommendations. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content is for information only and is not professional career advice
• AI outputs may sometimes be inaccurate, incomplete or biased
• You are responsible for checking AI-generated recommendations before acting on them
• Mitra, Yama and résumé parsing run on Microsoft's Azure OpenAI service. We send it only the text each feature needs. Your content is not used to train AI models (see §4.1)
• Yama's verdicts evaluate your submitted work. They are not decisions about employment, credit or any other legal matter. If you disagree with a verdict, you can resubmit, or email contact@ameyaai.com to ask a person to review it

12. Beta services#

TruSkill is currently in beta. Beta services are provided "as is" and may contain bugs, errors or other issues. We may modify, suspend or discontinue beta features. Where a change takes away a feature you rely on, we will give you reasonable notice where we can. Data created during beta may be affected by changes in data models or formats. We will make reasonable efforts to preserve your data but cannot guarantee complete data continuity during the beta period.

13. Indemnification#

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Ameya AI, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, agents and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or of any rights of another party.

14. Dispute resolution#

If you have a dispute with us, please contact us at contact@ameyaai.com first. We will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days.

Class action waiver: To the extent permitted by the law that applies to you, disputes will be handled only on an individual basis, not in a class, consolidated or representative action. This waiver does not apply to you if you are a consumer in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland, or another place where such waivers are not enforceable against consumers.

15. Severability#

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest of these Terms will remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire agreement#

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Ameya AI, Inc. about the Service and replace all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.

17. Fees, billing and cancellation#

17.1 Free period

Your first 2 weeks are free, with full access and no card needed. You will not be charged unless you choose to subscribe.

17.2 Pro

Pro costs $30 per month, plus any applicable tax, billed through Stripe. Pro renews automatically every month, and you will be charged $30 each month until you cancel. We show this before you subscribe and confirm it by email after you subscribe.

17.3 How to cancel

You can cancel online at any time: go to /you, select Manage billing, and cancel your plan in the Stripe billing portal that opens. You can also email contact@ameyaai.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Pro until then. If you select Delete account on /you instead, your subscription is cancelled immediately and Pro ends right away.

17.4 Refunds

Except as set out in §17.5 or required by law, we do not refund partial months. Deleting your account does not automatically refund the current month. Refunds are handled on request: email contact@ameyaai.com.

17.5 EU, UK and Swiss right to withdraw

If you are a consumer in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you have 14 days from the day you subscribe to Pro to withdraw without giving a reason. To withdraw, email contact@ameyaai.com. Cancelling in Manage billing or deleting your account stops Pro but does not refund you automatically, so please email us to claim your withdrawal refund.

When you subscribe, we ask you to confirm that you want Pro to start right away, during the 14-day period. If you withdraw within 14 days, we will refund your payment minus a proportionate amount for the days you had Pro. We will refund you within 14 days of receiving your request, to your original payment method.

17.6 After cancelling

After cancelling, you keep read access to your own data and proofs.

17.7 Price changes

We will tell you at least 30 days before a price change takes effect. You can cancel before then.

17.8 When the free period ends

When your 2 free weeks end, you will see a prompt to subscribe. We never move you to Pro without your action.

19. Governing law and venue#

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. The state and federal courts located in Fulton County, Georgia are the venue for disputes arising from these Terms or the Service.

If you are a consumer living outside the United States, this choice of law does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts of that country.

20. Your consumer rights#

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right you have under mandatory consumer protection law where you live, including statutory rights about digital services that are not as described. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Where a term of these Terms conflicts with such a law, that law applies.
